His Excellency Engineer Khalid bin Ahmad Al Obaidli joins industry stakeholders to set the tone for Qatar’s evolving property sector
Summit establishes a collaborative platform to advance innovation, professionalism, and market transparency

Qatar’s real estate industry marked a significant milestone this week with the successful staging of the inaugural PF Agent Ignite, a first-of-a-kind, open-industry summit hosted by Property Finder. More than 650 agents, brokers, realtors and agency leaders attended the event, creating a landmark platform for collaboration and dialogue to advance Qatar’s proptech sector in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Setting the tone for the day, H.E. Eng. Khalid bin Ahmad Al Obaidli, President of Aqarat – Qatar’s Real Estate Regulatory Authority, delivered the opening address, during which he underscored Qatar’s commitment to nurturing a world-class, transparent, and investor-friendly property market.
“Our role as regulators is to build trust and stimulate a vibrant property sector that contributes to Qatar’s long-term development,” he explained. “Through collaboration with industry leaders and platforms such as PF Agent Ignite, we can ensure that agents, brokers, and developers are empowered to be ambassadors of this vision, creating an environment where professionalism and transparency become the norm,” he added.
Welcoming delegates, Khaled Al Saeh, Country Manager for Qatar & Bahrain at Property Finder, emphasized the importance of empowering agents as the bridge between consumers, developers, and regulators. He stated: “Unlike technology-driven forums, PF Agent Ignite highlights the human edge of real estate, emphasizing the trust, professionalism and service excellence that agents bring to clients and to Qatar’s investment landscape”.
The keynote address, delivered by Firas Al Msaddi, CEO of fam Properties, widely regarded as a pioneer in blending technology and human expertise in real estate, offered a candid reflection on the region’s growth potential.
“There’s clearly strong engagement and a remarkable appetite for progress in Doha”, said Al Msaddi. “The journey toward becoming a mature, high-performing real estate market is a universal one, and seeing where Doha is headed is genuinely exciting,” he added.
A highlight of the event was the high-level panel discussion, ‘Why Is It an Amazing Time to Be a Real Estate Agent?’ moderated by Anthony Awkar, Managing Partner at Capstone Property. The panel brought together diverse voices from across the sector, including H.E. Eng. Al Obaidli; Firas Al Msaddi and Bassel Bachos Director at the United Development Company.
Discussions explored key themes such as earnings potential, trust and transparency challenges, agents’ role as market ambassadors, and the need for collaboration to unlock growth. Panelists also shared insights on upcoming regulatory changes, shifts in consumer expectations, and the opportunities presented by Qatar’s economic diversification.
“PF Agent Ignite is more than just a conference,” said Sleiman, “it is a catalyst for market evolution”. He added: “By convening government, private sector leaders and agents under one roof, Property Finder is helping to chart a shared roadmap for building a more transparent, connected, and customer-centric real estate ecosystem.”
The summit closed with a networking session that enabled delegates to form partnerships and exchange strategies to meet the demands of an increasingly sophisticated property market.
PF Agent Ignite marks the evolution of PF Connect in Qatar and will return in 2026 with an expanded program to continue advancing dialogue, driving collaboration, and equipping real estate professionals with the tools they need to succeed.
